Lesson 9: The Warm-up

THE WARM-UP – every great run starts off with a long and limber body!

 

In today’s lesson, we cover the following topics:

  • A quick and easy warm-up for runners;
  • Most runners warm up for running…by running! We want to put a stop to that. This 5min warm-up can do wonders for getting your body prepped and ready for activity. 

 

Once you’ve completed the above lesson, make sure to incorporate any of the below exercises (depending on what you’ve found with the assessment portion of the lesson):

  • Child Pose Rotation – gaining mobility of the upper back is crucial to allow our whole spine to move and we don’t overcompensate through our lower back and allow our shoulders to do their thing. 
  • Lunge with Rotation
  • High Hip Skips
